About GAN Tuning

The company originated in 2018 and houses a team of engine mapping engineers with over 20 years of experience, working for major manufacturers and motorsport teams. We clearly identified that the chiptuning market was oversaturated with products that either did not provide enough value for the asking price, or whose manufacturers struggled to guarantee that their tuning boxes or remaps would not negatively affect the engine and other dependent car parts. Others would call their product a race chip but, instead of R&D, would spend their entire budget on marketing. On top of that, installation was usually complicated and did not work on a plug-and-play basis, even when that was what the box promised.

Therefore, we decided to change the market and come up with a range of products that would not only make you feel the change in performance, but also make chiptuning safe for the engine and easy to install. This is when the development of both hardware and software started, aimed at complementing the performance and efficiency of all cars by all manufacturers, simply because we knew it was possible. The team at GAN spent countless hours optimising our product range, and finally we achieved exactly what we originally set out to do: a range of tuning modules that passed rigorous testing in all possible environments and over thousands of kilometres and miles, worthy of carrying the name GAN Tuning.

Depending on the module, power and torque rise by up to 12% (GAN GA, GAN GA+), up to 25% (GAN GTL) or up to 30% (GAN GT), while fuel consumption falls by up to 15% with an economical driving style. A gain of up to 12% is already enough to fill in the lagging part of the rev range, whilst up to 30% gives a boost in performance that you can clearly feel – translating into smiles per mile.

Making chiptuning fuel efficient

GAN tuning modules are not only about performance: they also optimise engine operation, making it more fuel efficient – in other words, improving the fuel economy of your car as a whole. In fact, the final fuel-saving figures became our pride and joy, taking into account the combined performance our product line adds at the same time.

Since efficiency may vary based on the way you drive and how heavy your right foot is, we wanted to give our clients the extra edge of being in control of the vehicle’s characteristics. As a result, we released a smartphone app that lets you switch driving modes and helps you achieve the performance you need at any given moment. Please keep in mind that the availability of driving modes depends on the product: for example, GAN GA+ offers 3 driving modes – ECO, STOCK and DYNAMIC; GAN GTL adds a Custom mode to the existing line-up; and finally, our range-topping GAN GT has 5 driving modes, adding an advanced SPORT mode to the modes you get with the tuning modules mentioned above.

There are many ways in which safety can be understood when talking about engine tuning, but in all of them it plays an integral part in vehicle operation. This is why we made it a top priority from the moment we drew up the product blueprint.

First and foremost, safety comes with added power and torque because, for example, it allows you to overtake faster, which makes manoeuvring safer. Moreover, we are aware that most people looking to increase engine performance with a remap ask whether tuning boxes are safe for the engine – it is usually the main concern clients have when considering chiptuning.

As mentioned earlier, GAN Tuning prides itself on the know-how the team has when it comes to engine optimisation and improving specifications. Right from the start, we decided not to develop ECU remaps and to focus on tuning modules instead, because the advantages of this solution greatly outweigh the perks you may get with an ECU remap. Moreover, we put our tuning modules through rigorous tests to make sure that everything stays in line with the performance characteristics we promise.

In fact, we are so confident in our product line that we offer an additional engine warranty of up to 2 years, depending on the module. It comes on top of your manufacturer’s warranty, which is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the module can be removed at any time.
