Chiptuning Suzuki
Up to 30% more power for your Suzuki
Our Suzuki catalog covers 130 engines (models: 26, generations: 33). For 21% of the engines there are the GAN GT (up to 30% more power) and GAN GTL (up to 25%) tuning boxes; for 102 naturally aspirated engines, the GAN GA and GAN GA+ (up to 12%). Each engine’s figures are on its own page.
Suzuki plug-in remap: no changes to the ECU software
The tuning box sits between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals – unlike a flash remap, which rewrites the ECU. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

Suzuki remapping: questions
Who made the diesel in my Suzuki, and which GAN box fits it?
DDiS covers Fiat, Renault and PSA engines, so work out the maker from the model and years above. The catalogue puts the DDiS versions on the GAN GT, with each power output treated separately.
What does the GAN GT add to the Swift Sport 1.4 Boosterjet?
In the catalogue the Swift Sport 1.4 Boosterjet goes from 140 hp and 230 Nm to 181 hp and 297 Nm with the GAN GT. These are the stated gains for the engine type, not a dyno reading from your own car.
Boosterjet or Dualjet: which GAN box fits?
A Boosterjet is a turbo and takes the GAN GT, while the naturally aspirated Dualjet takes the GAN GA+.
Tuning box or remap for a Suzuki Boosterjet or DDiS?
A remap rewrites the factory software, whereas the GAN tuning box works between the engine sensors and the ECU and adjusts their signals. The factory software, checksums and flash counter stay as they were, and the engine keeps its factory protections. Your manufacturer's warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed and the box can come off at any time.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a GAN tuning box?
Yes, declare it. British insurers treat extra power as a modification, so the safe course is to tell them before you fit the box. How they treat it varies from one insurer to another, so ask before you fit the box; the standard and tuned figures you will be asked for are on your engine's page.
Will a tuning box affect my Suzuki warranty?
No. The box does not change the ECU software and can be removed at any time, so your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved. On top of that, we give an engine warranty: 2 years with the GAN GT, 1 year with the GAN GTL.
Tuning box or remap: which should I choose?
A flash remap permanently rewrites the maps in the ECU and leaves a trace in the flash counter. The GAN tuning box adjusts the sensor signals instead: the ECU stays in factory condition, and you can return the car to stock in about a minute. A flash remap can be the better choice if the engine has upgraded hardware, or if the car is out of warranty and you accept the risks.
Suzuki chip tuning: what to know about the engines
Suzuki remap: DDiS is a trade name for bought-in diesels
Whose engine is in my Suzuki? That is where a diesel tuning box starts. DDiS is the trade name for turbodiesels that Suzuki buys in, mostly common-rail units, because it has no diesels of its own. The 1.3 D13A is a Fiat engine, fitted to the Swift from 2005 to 2013, the Ignis II and the Splash. Also from Fiat, the 1.6 D16AA powered the Vitara from 2015 to 2018 and the SX4 S-Cross from 2013 to 2018.
For the SX4, Fiat also supplied the 1.9 D19A at 120 hp (June 2006 to August 2009) and the 2.0 D20A at 135 hp (September 2009 to June 2014). Renault provided the 1.5 K9K, at 65 and 86 hp, for the Jimny JB53 and the 1.9 F9Q, at 129 hp, for the Grand Vitara from 2005 to 2015. PSA's 1.4 DV4, at 90 hp, went into the Liana from 2004 to 2007. Several of the older models in the catalogue are discontinued in Britain, so a DDiS is usually a used-car question.
Petrol engines: the K series, Dualjet and Boosterjet
The K series is Suzuki's family of 1.0 to 1.5 litre petrol engines: the K10B and K10C have three cylinders, the K12B, K12C, K14B, K14C and K15B four. In a code such as K14C, K is the series, the digits give the displacement and the last letter is the variant. The series includes both kinds of engine: the K14C is a turbo, the K14B naturally aspirated. Dualjet is the name for the updated naturally aspirated K engines from 2013, with two injectors per cylinder and no turbo; the 1.2 K12C at 90 hp in the Swift is one. Boosterjet means a direct-injection turbo, such as the 1.0 K10C at 111 to 112 hp and the 1.4 K14C at 140 hp.
In Britain the Swift 1.0 Boosterjet is the 111 hp version, and that engine has no row in the catalogue yet. SHVS is a mild hybrid system with a 12 V or 48 V starter generator that works with the K engines. ALLGRIP is a four-wheel-drive system, not an engine, so it says nothing about power. UK grades such as SZ-T, SZ5 and Sport do not name the engine either. Choose the GAN GT (up to 30% more power) for turbo engines, and the GAN GA+ (up to 12%) for the Dualjet and other naturally aspirated K engines.

Models, and the sporty Swift
In June 2018 the Swift Sport moved from the 1.6 M16A, at 125 and 136 hp, to the 1.4 Boosterjet at 140 hp, so for a Suzuki Swift Sport remap the year matters. In Europe the Splash doubles as the Opel Agila B, and the SX4 as the Fiat Sedici. For the Vitara, Swift, SX4 S-Cross, Jimny and Ignis alike, the engine name is the place to begin.
Which Suzuki models are in the catalog
The catalog covers 26 models from Suzuki. The most engines are listed for the Swift (20), Grand Vitara (17) and Alto (14). The biggest gain among the models is on the Swift: up to +41 hp.
Naturally aspirated Suzuki engines
For 102 naturally aspirated engines from Suzuki, there is the GAN GA+: up to 12% more power and up to 15% lower fuel consumption in ECO mode, which means better MPG. You can fit it yourself, in most cases in under 15 minutes.
How to find your Suzuki engine
Pick your model from the list above, then the generation by model year and chassis code, then the engine by the power output in your registration document. The engine page shows the exact gain and the price of the box.
