Each engine has its own tuning box: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per box and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.

Suzuki Vitara remap: what changes
The GAN box plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals, while a flash remap rewrites the ECU itself. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

What makes the Suzuki Vitara special
Suzuki Vitara remap: Vitara or Grand Vitara?
The Vitara sold in Britain today is the fourth-generation car, known as the Mk4, in SZ4, SZ-T, SZ5 and later Motion and Ultra trims. Between 1998 and 2015 Suzuki sold the European model as the Grand Vitara, so a Vitara remap for those years really means a Grand Vitara. The first Vitara ran from 1988 to 1998, with Santana carrying on in Spain until 2005, and today's LY has been sold since 2015. Any tuning box starts with the generation, because the catalogue mixes engines from the Grand Vitara JT with those of the LY.
Take the 1.9 DDiS, 129 hp and 300 Nm: it belongs to the Grand Vitara JT, not to the Vitara you can buy now. The 1.9 HDI (90 hp) and 2.0 HDI (109 hp) rows also come from earlier cars rather than the LY. That first Vitara had 1.6-litre petrols of 97 hp, a 136 hp V6 from 1995 and, from 1997, an 88 hp 1.9 turbo diesel.
Today's Vitara, engine by engine
The LY began in 2015 with the 1.6 VVT (120 hp, 156 Nm) and the 1.6 DDiS (120 hp, 320 Nm). The Vitara S followed in 2015 with a 1.4 BoosterJet of 140 hp, and the LY is offered in two-wheel drive or ALLGRIP four-wheel drive. Both 1.6 engines went in autumn 2018, replaced by the 1.0 BoosterJet, and from April 2020 the 1.4 BoosterJet gained a 48-volt mild hybrid. A full hybrid joined in the first quarter of 2022, the 1.5 Dualjet, which the catalogue lists at 116 hp of system output.
A second facelift followed in April 2024. In the British range the 1.4 Boosterjet is the main turbo petrol for a tuning box, at 140 hp before the mild hybrid and 129 hp with it. The 1.4 BoosterJet, including the 129 hp mild hybrid, is listed on the Suzuki Vitara 2015 page. There is no row for the 1.0 BoosterJet in the catalogue.
Suzuki Vitara remap: common questions
What does the GAN GT add to a Vitara 1.6 DDiS?
The 1.6 DDiS climbs from 120 hp and 320 Nm to 156 hp and 409 Nm with the GAN GT. This diesel was sold from 2015 to 2018, when the BoosterJet range took its place. The GAN GT, the line for turbo engines, is rated at up to 30% more power. Those figures are stated gains for the engine type, not a dyno reading of your own car.
Why does the catalogue show 117 hp and 118 hp for the 1.6 petrol?
Both rows are the 1.6 VVT, which Suzuki rates at 120 hp and 156 Nm; the catalogue lists 117 hp and 118 hp, so find your engine by its hp figure in the table. The GAN GA+ and the GAN GA both fit, rated at up to 12% more power. Being naturally aspirated, the 1.6 petrol has to be worked harder than the diesel at low revs.
Does a tuning box work on the 1.5 Hybrid introduced in 2022?
Yes, the GAN GA+ also fits the 1.5 Hybrid; it acts on the petrol engine and leaves the electric motor alone. The catalogue's 116 hp is the full hybrid's system output, while the petrol engine alone makes about 101 to 102 hp and 138 Nm. A 33 hp electric motor and a six-speed automated gearbox complete the system.
Will my insurer need to know about the tuning box?
Tell them. A tuning box raises the output, and in Britain that is a declarable modification like any other performance change. Policies differ, so a quick call to your insurer before fitting is the safe route; the figures they will ask for are the stock and GAN outputs listed here.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
