Each engine has its own tuning box: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per box and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.

Alfa Romeo MiTo remap: what changes
The GAN box plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals, while a flash remap rewrites the ECU itself. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

What makes the Alfa Romeo MiTo special
Alfa Romeo MiTo remap or tuning box: 135 hp or 170 hp
The 135 hp MiTo 1.4 MultiAir and the 170 hp Quadrifoglio Verde belong to the same 1.4 TB MultiAir family. From 2016 the Veloce also carries the 170 hp engine, as does the Quadrifoglio Verde. The MiTo is no longer sold new in Britain, so you are looking at a used small hatchback. For a MiTo tuning box the version matters: the 1.4 TB in 120, 135, 155 and 170 hp takes the GAN GT in every case, each with its own figures.
The GAN GT also covers the 1.3 and 1.6 JTDM diesels and the 0.9 TwinAir. The GAN GA+ is for the 1.4 8V and 16V petrols and for the 105 hp 1.4 MultiAir, which is not turbocharged. On the 1.4 MultiAir petrols the oil specification and service history matter, because the MultiAir actuator can fail, so check both before you add a box. Built on the Grande Punto platform, the MiTo (type 955) is a three-door hatchback that was launched in 2008.
Alfa Romeo MiTo remap: common questions
MiTo 1.4 MultiAir at 135 hp and 170 hp: what does the GAN GT add?
Catalogue figures for the 135 hp car: 135 hp and 206 Nm become 175 hp and 268 Nm. The 170 hp Quadrifoglio Verde gains 36 hp. Both turbo engines take the GAN GT, rated at up to 30% more power. They are catalogue gains stated for this engine type, not a measurement taken on your own car.
MiTo chip tuning, ECU remap or tuning box: what is left untouched?
A remap rewrites the factory software in the engine control unit, while a tuning box takes a different route. Between the engine sensors and the ECU sits the GAN module, which adjusts their signals. The software, checksums and flash counter remain exactly as the factory left them. The ECU software is never changed and the module can be removed at any time, so your manufacturer's warranty is preserved.
Will my insurer need to know about the tuning box?
Yes, declare it. British insurers treat extra power as a modification, so the safe course is to tell them before you fit the box. How they treat it varies from one insurer to another, so ask before you fit the box; the standard and tuned figures you will be asked for are in the table on this page.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
