What makes the Buick Enclave special
Buick Enclave remap: the 3.6 V6
The first-generation Enclave carries the direct-injection 3.6 V6 LLT, which the catalogue lists at 288 hp and 366 Nm from 2009. That is the one Enclave engine in the catalogue: a tuning box is matched to it, and it takes the GAN GA+. Built for the United States and Canada, and sold in China and Mexico too, the Enclave never reached Europe. Buick never sold the Enclave in Britain, so an Enclave on British roads is a grey import from North America.
It shares the GM Lambda platform with the GMC Acadia and the Chevrolet Traverse. From 2018 the second generation uses the 3.6 V6 LFY, with 310 hp (SAE) and 361 Nm. The catalogue has no entry for the 3.6 V6 LFY.

With the GAN GA+, a 288 hp Enclave reaches 311 hp and 395 Nm. The box is rated at up to 12% more power; treat these as the stated gains for the engine type, not a dyno reading of your own car.
What should I check on the 3.6 V6 before fitting a box?
GM has issued a service bulletin on loose or stretched timing chains and tensioners; it covers the Enclave's 3.6 V6 engines (LY7, LLT, LFX and LFY). A tuning box doesn't replace a worn part, so have the timing chain checked before you fit one.
Do the GMC Acadia and the Chevrolet Traverse share these figures?

Does a GAN tuning box affect my car insurance?
Yes. In the UK a power increase counts as a modification, and insurers expect to be told about it before you drive with the box fitted. Each insurer handles it differently, so check with yours first and quote the before-and-after output from the table above.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
