Each engine has its own tuning box: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per box and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.

Chevrolet Cruze remap: what changes
The GAN box plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals, while a flash remap rewrites the ECU itself. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

2.0 VDCI 163 hp → 210 hp. The other engines gain at least +13 hp; check the table for each one.

Diesels gain mostly torque: +75 to +97 Nm, which helps with overtaking and towing.

What makes the Chevrolet Cruze special
Chevrolet Cruze remap: the European J300
Everything depends on the engine, and the catalogue covers the European J300, sold from May 2009 to December 2014. Chevrolet has left the UK market, so the Cruze is now a used-car proposition here. British cars came as a saloon, a hatchback and the Sports Wagon, in LS, LT and LTZ trims, with no Mk number. The 2.0 VCDi is rated at 125, 150 or 163 hp, the 1.7 TD at 110 or 131 hp, and the 1.4 Turbo at 140 hp. The 1.7 TD is the engine British buyers know as the 1.7 VCDi.
The petrol 1.6 and 1.8 take the GAN GA+. UK reviews describe the 1.6 petrol as slow and not very economical, and the 1.7 VCDi as the stronger all-round engine thanks to its mid-range torque. On the diesels the particulate filter can clog when the car does mostly short urban trips, and UK buying advice is to add regular motorway running. A tuning module will not replace a worn part, so have the particulate filter checked before you fit it.
Chevrolet Cruze remap: common questions
Cruze 1.7 TD and 1.4 Turbo: which GAN box fits?
Both are turbo engines and take the GAN GT; the catalogue lists the 1.7 TD Eco at 110 hp and the 1.4 Turbo ECOTEC at 140 hp. The box cannot repair faults, and it adjusts the engine sensor signals rather than the ECU program.
Cruze 2.0 VCDi remap: what does the GAN GT add?
The 163 hp version moves from its standard 163 hp and 360 Nm to 210 hp and 457 Nm with the GAN GT. These are catalogue gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your own car. Across turbo engines the GAN GT is rated at up to 30% more power, while the naturally aspirated 1.6 and 1.8 petrols take the GAN GA+ at up to 12%.
Does a GAN tuning box affect my car insurance?
Tell them. A tuning box raises the output, and in Britain that is a declarable modification like any other performance change. Policies differ, so a quick call to your insurer before fitting is the safe route; the figures they will ask for are the stock and GAN outputs listed here.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
