Each engine has its own tuning box: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per box and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.

Fiat 500 remap: what changes
The GAN box plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals, while a flash remap rewrites the ECU itself. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

What makes the Fiat 500 special
Fiat 500 remap: check the year, not the badge
Check the year of your car first, because one badge can hide two different engines. The Fiat 500 has been sold new in Britain, where UK publishers call the standard car the Mk1, with trims such as Pop, Lounge, Sport and Cult. The 0.9 TwinAir Turbo makes 86 hp, or 105 hp only between December 2013 and July 2018, and both versions have 145 Nm. UK reviews describe the TwinAir as noticeably quicker than the 1.2, though its two-cylinder character means it needs revs. The 1.3 Multijet makes 75 hp and 145 Nm without a particulate filter, and 95 hp and 200 Nm with one.
In Britain the 95 hp Multijet suits higher-mileage driving better than short urban trips. The TwinAir and Multijet take the GAN GT, and the 69 hp 1.2 takes the GAN GA+. The 500C cabriolet, available from 2009, uses the same engines, so a cabrio follows the same figures. The Abarth 500 is a separate performance badge with its own 1.4 turbo engine, so look under Abarth for it.
Fiat 500 remap: common questions
Fiat 500 TwinAir 105 remap: what does the GAN GT add?
The GAN GT takes the 105 hp TwinAir Turbo from 105 hp and 145 Nm to 136 hp and 189 Nm. Treat these as catalogue gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your own car.
Is the 75 hp Multijet the same as the 95 hp one?
No. In 2009 or 2010 the 75 hp Multijet gave way to the 95 hp version with a particulate filter, and the catalogue lists the two as separate rows, both on the GAN GT.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a GAN tuning box?
Yes. In the UK a power increase counts as a modification, and insurers expect to be told about it before you drive with the box fitted. Each insurer handles it differently, so check with yours first and quote the before-and-after output from the table above.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
