What makes the Foton Tunland special
Foton Tunland remap: the 2025 pickups and the one catalogue engine
Europe saw the Tunland first in Poland in February 2025, then in Spain in March 2025. The Tunland has not been launched officially in Britain; any you see here is a grey import. The pickups sold in Europe run a 2.0 diesel of about 162 hp and 390 Nm, and some sources put the mild hybrid versions slightly higher.
The catalogue, though, offers just one Tunland engine: a 2.4 petrol with 134 hp and 200 Nm, and that is not the engine of the European pickups. That 2.4 petrol belongs to versions sold outside Europe, in the Gulf states for instance.

The 134 hp 2.4 reaches 150 hp and 224 Nm with the GAN GA+, which is rated at up to 12% more power. Those are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading from your car.
Does the catalogue cover the Tunland G7 or V9 with the 2.0 diesel?
No. The 2.0 diesel in the G7 and the V9 has no row in the catalogue.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a GAN tuning box?
Tell them. A tuning box raises the output, and in Britain that is a declarable modification like any other performance change. Policies differ, so a quick call to your insurer before fitting is the safe route; the figures they will ask for are the stock and GAN outputs listed here.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
