What makes the Honda Fit special
Honda Fit tuning in Britain means the Jazz
There is no Honda Fit on British roads: the car is the Jazz, and a Honda Jazz remap with a tuning box follows its generation codes GD, GE, GK and GR. The Mk2 (GE, 2008–2015) carries the 1.4 i-VTEC with 100 hp, while the Mk3 (GK, from 2015) has the 1.3 with 102 hp and the 1.5 with 131 hp. UK trims ran S, SE, Sport and EX, with Crosstar arriving on the Mk4, and the Mk3 Sport is the version with the 1.5.
Every engine in the catalogue takes the GAN GA+. The 1.4 of the Mk2 with 100 hp gains 12 hp and 15 Nm, the 1.3 of the Mk3 with 102 hp gains 12 hp and 15 Nm, and the Mk3's 1.5 with 131 hp gains 16 hp and 19 Nm. All of these are naturally aspirated petrol engines, so the gains are modest next to a turbodiesel. The Mk4 (GR, from 2020) is hybrid-only in Britain, and this page has no figures for it.

There are two routes: a flash remap rewrites the factory software in the engine control unit (ECU), while the GAN tuning box sits between the engine sensors and the ECU and adjusts their signals. Your manufacturer's warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.
What does the GAN GA+ do for a Jazz 1.5 i-VTEC with 131 hp?
The 1.5 i-VTEC of the Mk3 has direct injection, and the catalogue gain is 16 hp and 19 Nm. The GAN GA+ gives up to 12% more power, which is a smaller step than on a turbo engine.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a GAN tuning box?
Tell them. A tuning box raises the output, and in Britain that is a declarable modification like any other performance change. Policies differ, so a quick call to your insurer before fitting is the safe route; the figures they will ask for are the stock and GAN outputs listed here.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
