What makes the Isuzu D-Max special
D-Max: check the year before you choose a box
An Isuzu D-Max remap starts with the year, because the engine depends on it: the first generation, sold as the Rodeo in Britain until 2012, had a 2.5 or a 3.0 turbodiesel. That is where a D-Max tuning box begins: after the 2006 facelift the European range offered a 136 hp 2.5 and a 163 hp 3.0. The 2.5 of the 2003 to 2006 cars is listed in the catalogue as the 2.5 Ddi ->2006, with 78 hp and 176 Nm, and takes the GAN GA+; the 3.0 of those years has no row. From June 2012 the D-Max II carried a single engine, the 2.5 twin-turbo with 163 hp and 400 Nm.
UK guides call that engine strong for towing, if rather noisy. The GAN GT is the box for all three engines. In 2017 a 1.9 Ddi with 164 hp replaced the 2.5, and the third generation, in Europe since 2020, uses a 1.9 as well.

What does a tuning box give the D-Max 2.5 twin-turbo with 163 hp?
On the GAN GT the D-Max II 2.5 goes from 163 hp and 400 Nm to 197 hp and 484 Nm. Read these as the stated gains for the engine type, not a dyno result from your own D-Max.
D-Max 1.9 Ddi from 2017: is it covered?
The 1.9 Ddi with 164 hp and 360 Nm, found in the facelifted D-Max II and in the third generation, has no row in the catalogue. UK buyers often raise the 2017 change, because torque fell from 400 Nm to 360 Nm, a drop that shows most with a trailer on.
