Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.

JAC T8/T8 Pro remap: what changes
The GAN box plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals, while a flash remap rewrites the ECU itself. Your manufacturerâs warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

What makes the JAC T8/T8 Pro special
JAC T8 Pro remap for a loaded pick-up or a trailer
With a full load or a trailer on a long climb, the JAC T8 Pro depends on its 2.4 Turbo petrol engine, rated at 204 hp and 320 Nm. That is the version sold in Germany and Switzerland. It is the Mitsubishi-built 4K22D4T, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and selectable four-wheel drive with a low range.
No official UK range could be confirmed for the T8 Pro, so there are no British trim names or model years to go by. The catalogue has a tuning box for this engine, and with the GAN GT the T8 Pro reaches 247 hp and 387 Nm. Those are the stated gains for the engine type, not a dyno reading of your pick-up.
JAC T8/T8 Pro remap: common questions
Which GAN GT figures fit a JAC T8 Pro 2.4 Turbo remap?
The catalogue lists the 2.4 Turbo at 204 hp and at 211 hp, but the European car makes 204 hp and 320 Nm, so the 204 hp row is the one to take. On turbo engines the GAN GT is rated at up to 30% more power.
Do these figures apply to the DR PK8 and the EVO Cross 4?
The T8 Pro is also built as a diesel, the 2.0 CTI with 139 hp and 320 Nm. The DR PK8 is the T8 Pro's counterpart and the EVO Cross 4 matches the basic T8, each with a 2.0 turbo diesel of 136 hp. The catalogue does not include the 2.0 diesel. The figures on this page are for the 2.4 Turbo petrol engine only.
Will my insurer need to know about the tuning box?
Tell them. A tuning box raises the output, and in Britain that is a declarable modification like any other performance change. Policies differ, so a quick call to your insurer before fitting is the safe route; the figures they will ask for are the stock and GAN outputs listed here.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
