Each engine has its own tuning box: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per box and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.

Mitsubishi Space Star remap: what changes
The GAN box plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals, while a flash remap rewrites the ECU itself. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

What makes the Mitsubishi Space Star special
Mitsubishi Space Star remap: two cars under one name
Two different cars have carried the Space Star name. British used-car guides list the 1998 to 2002 car as the Colt Space Star and the 2002 to 2006 car as the Space Star, with trims including Classic, Mirage and Equippe. The first was a compact MPV on the Carisma platform, built by NedCar in the Netherlands from 1998 to 2005. The second is a five-door hatchback made in Thailand and sold on the continent from 2013 to 2025. Britain never had that hatchback as a Space Star: it was sold there as the Mirage, so the Mitsubishi Mirage page is the one to use for it.
Your engine tells you which of the two cars you have, and the tuning box follows the engine. A Space Star 1.2 is the hatchback, which only ever had naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engines. Three versions existed: a 1.0 with 71 hp and 88 Nm, a 1.2 with 80 hp and 106 Nm and, from September 2020, a 1.2 with 71 hp and 102 Nm. In the catalogue all three take the GAN GA+.
The MPV that Britain knew: petrol and diesel engines
The MPV was offered with a 1.3 at 82 hp and 120 Nm, a 1.6 at 98 hp and 150 Nm and a 1.8 at 112 hp and 157 Nm. British cars had the 1.3 and 1.6 petrols, the 1.8 GDI and the 1.9 DI-D diesel; UK ratings sit a point below the catalogue's, so the 121 hp GDI is the 122 hp row and the 101 hp DI-D is the 102 hp row, while an early 1.3 quoted at 84 hp is the 86 hp version, which has no row yet. A 1.3 with 86 hp and 117 Nm, sold from 1998 to 2000 and again from 2004, has no catalogue row. The 1.8 MPI took over from the 1.8 GDI (122 hp, 174 Nm) in autumn 2002.
The diesel was a 1.9 DI-D common-rail engine developed with Renault, which arrived in 2001 with 102 hp and 215 Nm. In October 2002 a 116 hp version with 265 Nm followed. Both diesels take the GAN GT, and the MPV's petrol engines take the GAN GA+. The Space Wagon and the Space Runner are models in their own right, not Space Star versions.
Mitsubishi Space Star remap: common questions
Which Space Star 1.2 version is mine?
Go by output: the 80 hp version with 106 Nm ran from 2013 to November 2020, and the 71 hp version with 102 Nm from September 2020. Both take the GAN GA+.
Space Star 1.9 DI-D remap: how much does the GAN GT add?
In the catalogue the 1.9 DI-D at 116 hp and 265 Nm rises to 151 hp and 343 Nm with the GAN GT. The ratings are up to 30% more power with the GAN GT and up to 12% with the GAN GA+. Those are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading from your own car. On this Renault engine the injectors are the known weak point.
Does the Space Star 1.8 GDI with 122 hp take a tuning box?
Yes: it has a catalogue row and takes the GAN GA+. A GDI injects fuel directly into the cylinder, and carbon can build up in the throttle body and the catalytic converter on this engine.
I drive a Mirage. Does this page apply to my car?
If it is the small hatchback, yes: the continental Space Star is the Mirage under another name, so check that your engine is the 1.0 with 71 hp or the 1.2 with 71 or 80 hp before you choose.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a GAN tuning box?
Yes. In the UK a power increase counts as a modification, and insurers expect to be told about it before you drive with the box fitted. Each insurer handles it differently, so check with yours first and quote the before-and-after output from the table above.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
