Each engine has its own tuning box: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per box and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.

More power and torque without rewriting the ECU or swapping any parts. The GAN box only adjusts the engine sensor signals. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

What makes the Nissan 350Z special
Nissan 350Z remap: the year decides the engine
Which 350Z you have is a matter of date: 280 hp up to 2005, about 300 hp from September 2005 and 313 hp from January 2007. So when you choose a tuning box, begin with the build year. Nissan sold the 350Z officially in Britain, so most UK cars are not grey imports. In Britain it is simply the 350Z, as a Coupe or a Roadster, with Z33 used as the generation code. A 2003 car has the first 3.5 V6, the VQ35DE, with 280 hp and 363 Nm, and in Germany it came with a six-speed manual as standard. The facelift of September 2005 introduced the VQ35DE Rev-Up with 300 hp and 353 Nm, and from then on every 350Z had it. The VQ35HR, from January 2007, makes 313 hp and 358 Nm and revs to 7,500 rpm.
UK specialists call the 313 hp VQ35HR of 2007 greatly improved in both performance and robustness. Germany got the coupé in October 2003 and the roadster in March 2005, and sales ended in December 2008 for the coupé and in 2009 for the roadster. The January 2007 facelift added a raised bonnet to make room for the VQ35HR. The 35th Anniversary Edition of 2005 carried the 301 hp engine and was limited to 700 cars for Europe, 100 of them for Germany. Germany registered 6,309 350Zs between 2003 and 2009, 1,897 of them in 2004. Japan calls the car the Fairlady Z.
What the GAN GA+ adds to a naturally aspirated V6
For 350Z chip tuning, the key point is that the V6 is naturally aspirated, so it takes the GAN GA+. In the catalogue the GAN GA+ lifts the Rev-Up from 300 hp to 324 hp. Induction kits and exhausts are the usual 350Z modifications, but a naturally aspirated V6 gains far less than a turbo engine, so keep your expectations realistic. Oil consumption is a known point on some early VQ35DE and Rev-Up engines, though not on all of them.
Naming your engine
To get the right figures for your 350Z, name the engine exactly: VQ35DE, VQ35DE Rev-Up or VQ35HR. These match the outputs of 280, 300 and 313 hp, and the body code is Z33.
Nissan 350Z remap: common questions
Which 350Z have you got: 280, 300 or 313 hp?
Start with the build date, then match it to the output: 280 hp, about 300 hp or 313 hp. On the 313 hp VQ35HR with 358 Nm, the GAN GA+ reaches 338 hp and 387 Nm. Those are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car. On a naturally aspirated engine the GAN GA+ is rated at up to 12% more power.
350Z ECU remap or tuning box: what is the difference?
A remap rewrites the software in the control unit, whereas a tuning box leaves it alone and adjusts the sensor signals instead. The factory software, checksums and flash counter all stay untouched, and the GAN box comes off in about a minute.
What does the GAN GA+ do for a 350Z with 280 hp?
With the GAN GA+, the VQ35DE with 280 hp and 363 Nm becomes a 302 hp, 392 Nm engine.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a GAN tuning box?
Tell them. A tuning box raises the output, and in Britain that is a declarable modification like any other performance change. Policies differ, so a quick call to your insurer before fitting is the safe route; the figures they will ask for are the stock and GAN outputs listed here.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
