Each engine has its own tuning box: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per box and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.

Nissan Sentra remap: what changes
More power and torque without rewriting the ECU or swapping any parts. The GAN box only adjusts the engine sensor signals. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

What makes the Nissan Sentra special
Nissan Sentra remap and its European counterparts
Nissan never sold the Sentra in Europe under that name. Britain was no exception: the Sentra was never part of the Nissan UK range, and any you see is a grey import. In Europe the nearest equivalent was the Almera N16 of 2000 to 2006, a car of the same class. The Sentra was the export badge of Japan's Sunny until 2006, while its European relatives went by Sunny until 1995 and by Almera after that.
The Sentra has been a rebadged Sylphy for the Americas and Asia since the 2013 model year, and that car did not come to Europe either. Choosing a box for a Sentra starts with the engine code and the generation, as the name alone does not identify the engine. Most of the catalogue figures come from North American and Mexican specifications; for the two 1.6 versions, neither the market nor the generation is known.
Engines generation by generation
The B15 of 2000 to 2006 appears in the catalogue as the 1.8 QG18DE, rated at 127 hp and 175 Nm. The B16, built from 2006 to 2012, used the 2.0 MR20DE. The SE-R and SE-R Spec V used the 2.5 QR25DE; for the Spec V the catalogue gives 200 hp and 244 Nm. SE-R and SE-R Spec V are North American badges, not UK trim names. On an imported car the engine and output vary by trim, so never assume a catalogue match from the Sentra name alone.
The B17, built from 2012 to 2019, is listed with the 1.8 MRA8DE: 130 hp and 173 Nm. The B18 and B19 of 2019 onwards carry the 2.0 MR20DD, at 149 hp and 198 Nm. The generation code together with the stated output narrows the choice down to one engine. Europe's cars in this class were the Almera, the Tiida (until 2011) and, from 2014, the Pulsar.
Nissan Sentra remap: common questions
Which Sentra engine is mine: 149 hp or 130 hp?
The 149 hp 2.0 belongs to the B18 and B19, built since 2019. The 130 hp 1.8 belongs to the B17 of 2012 to 2019.
Sentra 2.0 remap: what does the GAN GA+ add, and what about the CVT?
As standard the 2.0 is listed at 149 hp and 198 Nm; with the GAN GA+ it becomes 167 hp and 222 Nm. Up to 12% more power is the GAN GA+ rating. Those are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading from your own car. The gearbox software is not touched by the box.
Was there ever a Sentra for Europe or Britain?
Not under that name. Europe's nearest match was the Almera N16, built from 2000 to 2006. Next came the Tiida, and then the Pulsar, in the European range.
Should I declare the GAN box to my insurer?
Yes, declare it. British insurers treat extra power as a modification, so the safe course is to tell them before you fit the box. How they treat it varies from one insurer to another, so ask before you fit the box; the standard and tuned figures you will be asked for are in the table on this page.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
