What makes the Peugeot 107 special
Peugeot 107 remap: 68 hp from three cylinders
The 107 makes its 68 hp from three cylinders. Under the bonnet is Toyota's 1KR-FE, 998 cc and 93 Nm, which the catalogue lists at 68 hp. The Citroën C1 and the Toyota Aygo use the same engine, and TPCA in Kolín builds all three cars side by side. British 107s were 3-door and 5-door hatchbacks in trims such as Access, Active, Allure and Envy, identified by year, body and trim rather than by a generation number. Germany offered it as the sole engine: 68 thousand cars were registered between 2005 and 2014, every one a petrol.
Britain sold the 107 over the same years, and new-car sales ended with the car. For a 107 it comes down to this one petrol engine, and the tuning box for it is the GAN GA+. Before adding any torque, check the clutch on early 1.0 cars, especially those built before 2009. The 1.4 HDi, with 54 hp and 130 Nm and built from 2005 to 2010, takes the GAN GT. It was not offered in Britain, where the 1.0 petrol was the one engine on offer, so that row is for continental and imported cars.

Will my insurer need to know about the tuning box?

Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
