What makes the Peugeot 206 special

Peugeot 206 remap: the typical car runs on petrol

With a tuning box the 206 is mostly a petrol question, and in Britain the 1.4 was a common choice. In Germany, by comparison, the 206 was the best-selling imported car from 2001 to 2004. The 1.1, 1.4 and 1.6 petrols, from 60 to 110 hp, are matched to the GAN GA+. So are the 2.0 16V S16 and GTi at 135 and 136 hp, and the RC at 177 hp.

British buyers know that RC as the 206 GTi 180. Diesels take the GAN GT: the 1.4 HDi at 68 hp, the 2.0 HDi at 90 hp and the 1.6 HDi at 109 hp. A 1.6 HDi with turbo whine, smoke under load or limp mode needs its turbo looked at before any box goes on.

Peugeot 206 HDi: tuning box or flash remap?

The 2.0 HDi with 90 hp and 205 Nm takes the GAN GT. A flash remap rewrites the factory software, while the GAN tuning box sits between the engine sensors and the ECU and adjusts their signals.
