What makes the Toyota Aygo special
Toyota Aygo remap: one engine, three brands
The Aygo's 1.0 VVT-i is a 998 cc three-cylinder petrol that it shares with the Citroën C1 and the Peugeot 107 and 108. All three cars, with this engine, came from the same plant in Kolín. UK listings know the first generation as the Mk1 (AB10) and the second as the Mk2 (AB40). The catalogue lists the first-generation engine at 68 hp and 93 Nm, and it takes the GAN GA+, rated at up to 12% more power.
The second generation's 69 hp and 72 hp versions have no row in the catalogue yet. The 1.4 D-4D diesel, at 54 hp, was built from 2005 to 2007 and was never officially sold in Germany (Switzerland and imports only); it takes the GAN GT. In Britain the diesel arrived only in 2006 and was dropped after a short run, which makes it a rare car. If the car has the x-shift or MMT robotised manual gearbox, have the clutch and actuator checked before you fit anything.

With the GAN GA+ the 68 hp engine is rated at 76 hp and 104 Nm. Treat these as stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
What does the GAN GT do for the Aygo 1.4 D-4D?
On the diesel, 54 hp and 130 Nm become 70 hp and 169 Nm with the GAN GT. There is no catalogue row for the 2022 Aygo X and its 72 hp 1.0. The Aygo X hybrid has no page of its own under the Aygo; look for the same engine as the 1.5 H of the Toyota Yaris IV.
Should I declare the GAN box to my insurer?

Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
