Each engine has its own tuning box: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per box and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.

Toyota Celica remap: what changes
More power and torque without rewriting the ECU or swapping any parts. The GAN box only adjusts the engine sensor signals. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

What makes the Toyota Celica special
Toyota Celica remap: the 1.8 VVT-i and the T-Sport
A Celica tuning box starts with the T23, the last generation, which arrived in November 1999. Two engines were fitted: the 1.8 VVT-i (1ZZ-FE) at 143 hp, or the 1.8 VVTL-i (2ZZ-GE) at 192 hp in the T-Sport. In British listings the T23 appears as the 1.8 VVT-i and the 190 or T Sport, while the generation before it is the T200. With no turbo or supercharger on either engine, the GAN GA+ is the right box for both. Oil consumption is worth checking on a seventh-generation 1.8, and the 1ZZ-FE and the 2ZZ-GE are different engines, so a figure for one does not fit the other.
Every T23 had a six-speed manual gearbox. The earlier T20, which stayed in production until 1999, had a 1.8 at 116 hp and a 2.0 3S-GE at 175 hp, and the GAN GA+ suits those too. The turbocharged GT-Four of 1994 to 1999, rated at 239 hp, has no row in the catalogue. Toyota UK sold the Celica new until 2006.
Toyota Celica remap: common questions
Celica T-Sport remap: what power does it reach with the GAN GA+?
The T-Sport moves from 192 hp and 180 Nm to 215 hp and 202 Nm; for the 1.8 VVT-i the move is from 143 hp and 170 Nm to 160 hp and 190 Nm. A naturally aspirated engine is rated at up to 12% more power with the GAN GA+, and these are stated gains for the engine type, not a dyno reading of your car. Without a turbo, expect a realistic gain rather than a turbo-style jump.
Is the T20 Celica 2.0 3S-GE with 175 hp covered?
Yes: the 2.0 at 175 hp and 186 Nm takes the GAN GA+ and reaches 196 hp and 208 Nm. For the 1.8 at 116 hp and 154 Nm the figures are 130 hp and 172 Nm.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a GAN tuning box?
Tell them. A tuning box raises the output, and in Britain that is a declarable modification like any other performance change. Policies differ, so a quick call to your insurer before fitting is the safe route; the figures they will ask for are the stock and GAN outputs listed here.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
