Each engine has its own tuning box: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per box and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.

Volvo V60 remap: what changes
The GAN box plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals, while a flash remap rewrites the ECU itself. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

What makes the Volvo V60 special
Volvo V60 remap: two generations, only one in the catalogue
The V60 has had two generations: the V60 I, sold from 2010 to 2018, and from 2018 the V60 II, a different car on the SPA platform. Volvo UK launched the first V60 in 2010 and sold it with D2, D3, D4, D5, T3, T4, T5 and T6 badges, in trims from ES, SE and SE Lux to R-Design. Every V60 engine in the catalogue belongs to the V60 I. For a box that means the D3 and D4 at 163 hp, the D5 at 205 and 215 hp and the T5 at 245 hp, each matched to the GAN GT.
The early D3 is quoted at 163 hp and 400 Nm and the Drive-E D4 of the 2014 model year at 181 hp, so identify the engine rather than relying on the D3 or D4 badge. A 215 hp D6 Plug-in Hybrid is not the 215 hp D5: it adds a 70 hp electric motor, so use the D5 row only for a conventional diesel. Volvo and Polestar fitted software upgrades through dealers for the V60 D5 and the all-wheel-drive T6 from the 2012 model year.
Volvo V60 remap: common questions
Volvo V60 D3 remap: what does the box change in the engine and the Geartronic gearbox?
The box does not reprogram the gearbox. Factory software, checksums and flash counter are left as they are, and the engine's own protections stay active. The catalogue gives the 163 hp D3 210 hp with the GAN GT. Treat these as stated gains for the engine type rather than a dyno result from your own car.
Volvo V60 from 2020: does the catalogue cover the V60 II?
A 2020 V60 is a V60 II. Until 2020 it came with T4, T5 and T6 petrols and D3 and D4 diesels, and mild hybrids followed. The catalogue has no rows for its D3 and D4 diesels, the T6 at 310 hp, the mild hybrids or the plug-in T6 and T8 Recharge.
Does a GAN tuning box affect my car insurance?
Yes. In the UK a power increase counts as a modification, and insurers expect to be told about it before you drive with the box fitted. Each insurer handles it differently, so check with yours first and quote the before-and-after output from the table above.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
