Each engine has its own tuning box: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per box and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.

Volkswagen CC remap: what changes
The GAN box plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals, while a flash remap rewrites the ECU itself. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

What makes the Volkswagen CC special
VW CC remap: the Passat CC and the CC are one car
The Passat CC and the CC are one and the same car. It carried the Passat CC name from 2008 and became simply the CC with the facelift of February 2012. In Britain it was sold new first as the Passat CC and then as the CC, in standard and GT trim, each also as a BMT version, and Volkswagen has since discontinued it. This four-door coupé sits on the Passat B6 platform; it was built until November 2016 and the Arteon replaced it.
From October 2012 the 1.4 TSI Twincharger took over from the 1.8 TSI with 160 hp. On the diesel side, the EA189 engines at 140, 170 and 177 hp gave way to the EA288 at 150 and 184 hp. From 2012 the 2.0 TSI at 210 hp was the most powerful petrol CC in Britain, and the catalogue has a row for it too. For a Passat CC remap by tuning box, the diesels, the 1.8 TSI and the 1.4 TSI are all matched to the GAN GT.
Volkswagen CC remap: common questions
What does the GAN GT add to a VW CC 2.0 TDI with 170 hp?
The 170 hp 2.0 TDI, 350 Nm as standard, reaches 204 hp and 411 Nm with the GAN GT. The GAN GT range is rated at up to 30% more power; this is the stated gain for the engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
And the 1.4 TSI Twincharger at 160 hp in a CC?
The Twincharger starts at 160 hp and 240 Nm, and the GAN GT lifts it to 206 hp and 312 Nm.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a GAN tuning box?
Tell them. A tuning box raises the output, and in Britain that is a declarable modification like any other performance change. Policies differ, so a quick call to your insurer before fitting is the safe route; the figures they will ask for are the stock and GAN outputs listed here.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
