Each engine has its own tuning box: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per box and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.
Same badge, different factory power outputs in this generation:
Citroen Berlingo remap: what the GAN box does and doesn’t do
More power and torque without rewriting the ECU or replacing any parts. Unlike a flash remap, the tuning box leaves the ECU software alone and only adjusts the engine sensor signals.

Citroen Berlingo chip tuning: engines and generations
Citroën Berlingo remap: the first-generation 2.0 HDi
Built from November 1999 to 2005, the first-generation Berlingo's 2.0 HDi (DW10TD) gives 90 hp and 205 Nm. In Britain the commercial version is sold as the Berlingo Van, and the passenger car from 2018 is the third-generation Berlingo, launched in Feel and Flair trims and now sold as Plus and Max. The catalogue gives this engine two GAN GT versions, one per ECU system: Bosch or Siemens/Delphi.
Pick by the engine control unit in your car; factory output is 90 hp on both. A Bosch-equipped Berlingo 2.0 HDi with the GAN GT is rated at 117 hp and 267 Nm. Those are the stated gains for the engine type, not a dyno reading of your own car.
Berlingo II: diesel first
The Berlingo II (B9) was shown in Geneva in 2008 and facelifted in April 2012 and March 2015. The Peugeot Partner is its twin. Diesels: the 1.6 HDi with 75 hp (90 hp until July 2010), the e-HDi with 92 hp until 2015, and from April 2015 the BlueHDi with 100 and 120 hp. On a high-mileage 1.6 HDi, the turbo, EGR and DPF servicing is worth settling before you add torque.
Petrol: the 1.6 VTi with 120 hp from November 2009, the 1.6 VTi with 95 or 98 hp from July 2010, and the 1.2 PureTech with 110 hp from April 2016. The 95 hp VTi has no row in the catalogue. Diesel took about 58% of Berlingo registrations in Germany from 1999 to 2026 (diesel against petrol): 79% in 2015 and 84% in 2025.
Berlingo III from 2018
Shown in March 2018 on the EMP2 platform, the Berlingo III (K9) shares it with the Peugeot Rifter, the Opel Combo (Vauxhall Combo in Britain), the Fiat Doblò and the Toyota Proace City. Launch engines were the 1.2 PureTech 110 and the 1.5 BlueHDi 100, with the PureTech 130 and the BlueHDi 130 following. On the 1.2 PureTech, the condition of the wet timing belt and the oil deserves a look before you add anything. The electric ë-Berlingo has no row in the catalogue.
Citroen Berlingo remapping: questions
Berlingo 1.6 HDi remap: 90 hp, e-HDi 92 hp or BlueHDi 100 hp?
Go by the year: the 90 hp HDi ran until July 2010, the 92 hp e-HDi from July 2010 to April 2015, and the BlueHDi from April 2015. All three take the GAN GT, rated at up to 30% more power on turbo engines. If your Berlingo mostly does short urban trips, remember that a diesel needs regular longer runs for its particulate filter to regenerate, with or without a box.
Which Berlingo III is mine: 1.5 BlueHDi 100 or 130 hp, PureTech 110 or 130 hp?
Check the engine and the output in your registration document: the catalogue lists all four, the PureTech 110 and 130 and the BlueHDi 100 and 130.
Is there a tuning box for the petrol Berlingo 1.4i, 1.6i and 1.6 VTi?
Yes: the petrol engines take the GAN GA+, rated at up to 12% more power. GAN also states up to 15% lower fuel consumption on these engines with an economical driving style.
Berlingo remap or tuning box: what is the difference?
A remap rewrites the factory software, while a tuning box sits between the engine sensors and the ECU and adjusts their signals. The GAN module comes off in about a minute with no electronic or mechanical traces left. Because the ECU software is never changed, your manufacturer's warranty is preserved, and the module can be removed at any time.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a GAN tuning box?
Tell them. A tuning box raises the output, and in Britain that is a declarable modification like any other performance change. Policies differ, so a quick call to your insurer before fitting is the safe route; the figures they will ask for are the stock and GAN outputs listed here.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
