Chiptuning Haval
Up to 30% more power for your Haval
Our Haval catalog covers 45 engines (models: 13, generations: 16). For 96% of the engines there are the GAN GT (up to 30% more power) and GAN GTL (up to 25%) tuning boxes; for 2 naturally aspirated engines, the GAN GA and GAN GA+ (up to 12%). Each engine’s figures are on its own page.
Haval plug-in remap: no changes to the ECU software
The tuning box sits between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals – unlike a flash remap, which rewrites the ECU. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

Haval remapping: questions
How much does the GAN GA+ add to the first Haval H6 with the 2.0 diesel?
On the first H6 the GAN GA+ lifts the 143 hp, 310 Nm diesel to 160 hp and 347 Nm. Take these as the stated gains for the engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Does the 177 hp Jolion Pro 1.5T work with the GAN GT?
Germany's Jolion Pro is a turbo petrol with 177 hp. From other markets the catalogue covers the Jolion at 143 and 150 hp. No row exists for the 177 hp 1.5 turbo in the German Jolion Pro.
Is there a GAN box for the H6 hybrid in Germany?
The catalogue doesn't list the German H6 hybrid. The hybrid's system output is 243 hp.
Is a Haval 1.5T tuning box the same as a stage 1 remap?
They are different things: a remap rewrites the factory software, whereas the GAN box sits between the engine sensors and the ECU and adjusts their signals. The factory software, checksums and flash counter stay exactly as they were, and the engine's own protections remain active. Because the ECU software is never changed and the box can be removed at any time, your manufacturer's warranty is preserved.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a GAN tuning box?
Yes. In the UK a power increase counts as a modification, and insurers expect to be told about it before you drive with the box fitted. Each insurer handles it differently, so check with yours first and quote the before-and-after output from your engine's page.
Will a tuning box affect my Haval warranty?
No. The box does not change the ECU software and can be removed at any time, so your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved. On top of that, we give an engine warranty: 2 years with the GAN GT, 1 year with the GAN GTL.
Tuning box or remap: which should I choose?
A flash remap permanently rewrites the maps in the ECU and leaves a trace in the flash counter. The GAN tuning box adjusts the sensor signals instead: the ECU stays in factory condition, and you can return the car to stock in about a minute. A flash remap can be the better choice if the engine has upgraded hardware, or if the car is out of warranty and you accept the risks.

Haval remap or tuning box? Two models and a hybrid in Europe
What the market offers is where a Haval tuning box question begins: Germany sells the H6 hybrid and the Jolion Pro, and the H7 is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026. Germany's Jolion Pro arrived in February 2026 with a single engine, a 1.5 turbo petrol making 177 hp and 270 Nm, mated to a seven-speed DCT. Premium and Luxury versions with front-wheel drive are offered, and there is no hybrid Jolion in Germany. The third-generation H6 has been available in Germany since December 2025 or January 2026, only as a full hybrid: a 150 hp 1.5 turbo with a system output of 243 hp. The H6 hybrid has a two-speed transmission, is front-wheel drive only and comes in Premium and Luxury versions. Deliveries of the Jolion Pro, Britain's first Haval, began in February 2025; here it is a full hybrid with about 190 hp.
Haval entered Britain in 2025 through International Motors, and the Jolion Pro is the one Haval model confirmed for the UK range. It is badged GWM Haval Jolion Pro and sold only as a 1.5-litre petrol-electric hybrid, and no British H6 or H7 has been confirmed. The catalogue has no row for the British Jolion Pro hybrid. The German Jolion Pro and the H6 hybrid alike run a 1.5 turbo petrol engine, in different versions. A 2.0 turbo petrol, a full hybrid and a plug-in hybrid are announced for the H7. Haval belongs to Great Wall Motor. In Europe the models are the GWM Haval H6 and Haval Jolion Pro, sold through GWM dealers.
The original H6 and its diesel
Built at Lovech in Bulgaria until 2017, the first H6 came to Europe in 2013 as the Great Wall H6 and was sold in Bulgaria and Italy. In Italy the importer Eurasia Motor Company began sales in early 2014; Germany never had the car. The European car used a single engine: the 2.0 turbo diesel (GW4D20) with 143 hp and 310 Nm, a six-speed manual and front or four-wheel drive. Star 4WD and Premium 4WD were the versions, and the diesel met Euro 5.
That diesel takes the GAN GA+. In the Bulgarian press it was also known as the Hover H6. The GAN GT, rated at up to 30% more power, is the match for turbo petrols such as the 1.5 turbo.

Haval models from other markets
Some Haval models in the catalogue, such as the Dargo, F7 and H9, are not sold in Europe. Before choosing a box, find out which market your car comes from and read its stock output in your documents. A British Jolion Pro is hybrid-only, so do not confuse it with the 1.5T petrol Jolion in our catalogue.
Which Haval models are in the catalog
The catalog covers 13 models from Haval. The most engines are listed for the H6 (12), Dargo (8) and H5 (6). The biggest gain among the models is on the H5: up to +46 hp.
Naturally aspirated Haval engines
For 2 naturally aspirated engines from Haval, there is the GAN GA+: up to 12% more power and up to 15% lower fuel consumption in ECO mode, which means better MPG. You can fit it yourself, in most cases in under 15 minutes.
How to find your Haval engine
Pick your model from the list above, then the generation by model year and chassis code, then the engine by the power output in your registration document. The engine page shows the exact gain and the price of the box.
