What makes the Haval Jolion special
Haval Jolion remap: three outputs under one badge
A Haval Jolion remap with a tuning box depends on the year and the market of your car, because the 1.5T badge covers three different outputs. The 1.5 turbo sold outside Europe produces 150 hp and 220 Nm up to the 2024 facelift; the later car has 143 hp and 210 Nm. Germany has had the Haval Jolion Pro since February 2026, and it comes with one engine only, a 1.5 turbo of 177 hp and 270 Nm.
The Jolion Pro reached UK showrooms in February 2025, badged Jolion Pro rather than Jolion and sold as a hybrid only, in Premium, Lux and Ultra trims. In Britain the Jolion Pro is a full hybrid, rated at about 190 hp system output. Two catalogue rows exist, so if your Jolion matches one of them, find it by its hp figure; the German 1.5 turbo and the British hybrid have no row yet.

Haval Jolion 1.5T remap: what does the GAN GT add at 143 hp?
Sold outside Europe, this version goes from 143 hp and 210 Nm to 184 hp and 271 Nm with the GAN GT. The hybrid Jolion Pro sold in Britain has no row, so these figures do not apply to it. Those are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading from your own car.
Stage 1 or Stage 2: where does a GAN tuning box fit on a Haval Jolion?
Neither. The box is wired in between the engine sensors and the ECU, and it adjusts their signals. Nothing changes in the factory software, the checksums or the flash counter.
Should I declare the GAN box to my insurer?
Tell them. A tuning box raises the output, and in Britain that is a declarable modification like any other performance change. Policies differ, so a quick call to your insurer before fitting is the safe route; the figures they will ask for are the stock and GAN outputs listed here.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
