Each engine has its own tuning box: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per box and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.

Hyundai Getz remap: what changes
The GAN box plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals, while a flash remap rewrites the ECU itself. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

What makes the Hyundai Getz special
Hyundai Getz remap: before and after September 2005
The facelift of September 2005 produced two Getzes with different engines. Before it the line-up was the 1.1 at 62 hp, the 1.3 at 82 or 85 hp and the 1.6 at 105 hp. Diesel buyers got a three-cylinder 1.5 CRDi making 82 hp. Afterwards came the 1.1 at 67 hp, the 1.4 at 97 hp in place of the 1.3, and the 1.6 at 106 hp.
After the facelift the diesel became a four-cylinder 1.5 CRDi producing 88 hp and 215 Nm. So a Getz box starts from the build date: it has to match the engine in your car. Europe received the Getz as a three-door or five-door hatchback between September 2002 and June 2009. In Britain it was sold new over the same stretch.
Petrol engines and diesels
Every petrol Getz engine, from the 1.1 to the 1.6, is naturally aspirated, with outputs from 62 to 106 hp. With no turbo boost to build on, the petrol cars gain less than the diesels. The CRDi diesels, at 82 to 88 hp, have the larger gain: the GAN GT is rated at up to 30% more power. UK reviews single out the diesel's pulling power at low speed. For the petrols the box is the GAN GA+, rated at up to 12%.
The catalogue pairs the petrol engines with the GAN GA and GAN GA+, and the CRDi engines with the GAN GT and GAN GTL. Little changed for the 1.6 at the facelift, 105 hp becoming 106 hp, and the catalogue row reads 105 hp and 146 Nm. Fitted with the GAN GA+, the 1.4 that took over from the 1.3 goes from 97 hp and 125 Nm to 109 hp and 140 Nm. British sources also list a late 1.5 CRDi at 110 hp; match it by its hp figure in the table.
Hyundai Getz remap: common questions
Getz 1.5 CRDi remap: is mine the 82 hp or the 88 hp?
Three cylinders and 82 hp mean a car built between August 2003 and the facelift of 2005. Four cylinders, 88 hp and 215 Nm mean a post-facelift car.
What does the GAN GT do for the Getz 1.5 CRDi?
The 88 hp diesel, with 215 Nm as standard, rises to 115 hp and 280 Nm with the GAN GT. On the CRDi engines the GAN GT is rated at up to 30% more power. On the petrol engines the GAN GA+ is rated at up to 12%. Those are the stated gains for the engine type, not a dyno reading from your car.
What does the GAN GA+ add to the Getz 1.1?
The later 1.1 moves from 67 hp and 99 Nm to 75 hp and 111 Nm with the GAN GA+.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a GAN tuning box?
Yes. In the UK a power increase counts as a modification, and insurers expect to be told about it before you drive with the box fitted. Each insurer handles it differently, so check with yours first and quote the before-and-after output from the table above.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
