What makes the Jeep Liberty special
Jeep Liberty remap: in Britain it is the Cherokee
Liberty was the North American name for the Jeep Cherokee KJ of 2001 to 2008 and the KK of 2008 to 2012. In Britain they were badged simply as the Jeep Cherokee, and Europe never used the Liberty name. A Liberty remap with a tuning box means two petrol engines in the catalogue, the 2.4 and the 3.7 V6.

Liberty 3.7 V6 remap: how much does the GAN GA+ add?
For both the 3.7 V6 and the 2.4, the GAN GA+ is rated at up to 12% more power. That is the stated gain for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your own car.
What about the diesels on a Liberty or a Cherokee KJ?
The US Liberty offered the 2.8 CRD only in 2005 and 2006, whereas the Cherokee KJ and KK sold in Europe were the ones fitted with VM Motori diesels. Those engines are listed on the Cherokee page.
Does a GAN tuning box affect my car insurance?
Yes. In the UK a power increase counts as a modification, and insurers expect to be told about it before you drive with the box fitted. Each insurer handles it differently, so check with yours first and quote the before-and-after output from the table above.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
