Each engine has its own tuning box: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per box and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.

Jeep Renegade remap: what changes
The GAN box plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals, while a flash remap rewrites the ECU itself. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

What makes the Jeep Renegade special
Jeep Renegade remap before and after September 2018
Jeep gave the Renegade a new engine range in September 2018, and that splits Renegade tuning into two eras. Settle the era first; on a first-series car the tuning box then follows the engine, not the trim level. Jeep has sold the Renegade new in Britain since the first cars arrived, and diesel versions are no longer offered. In Britain it is simply the Renegade, described as pre-facelift or facelift rather than by Mk number, with Sport, Longitude, Limited, Night Eagle and Trailhawk among the trims. The first Renegade, the BU built from October 2014 to August 2018, came with the 1.6 E.torQ at 110 hp and 152 Nm. Alongside it sat the 1.4 MultiAir Turbo, at 140 hp and 230 Nm or at 170 hp and 250 Nm.
The 170 hp version was sold only with four-wheel drive and an automatic. The diesels were the 1.6 MultiJet at 120 hp and 320 Nm and the 2.0 MultiJet at 140 hp or 170 hp, both with 350 Nm and four-wheel drive. In Britain the 2.0 MultiJet 170 is the Trailhawk four-wheel-drive automatic, so it should not be compared with the lighter front-wheel-drive 1.6 MultiJet cars. The catalogue does not include the 1.6 MultiJet at 95 hp, which arrived in March 2017. The 1.6 MultiJet at 120 hp is listed here as the 1.6 CRD. Among these, just the 1.6 E.torQ is naturally aspirated.
The facelift range from 2018
The facelift dropped the 1.4 MultiAir and the 1.6 E.torQ in favour of the three-cylinder 1.0 FireFly T3, at 120 hp and 190 Nm. The 1.3 FireFly T4, at 150 hp or 180 hp and 270 Nm in both cases, is not in the catalogue. Both the 1.6 MultiJet at 120 hp and the 2.0 MultiJet at 140 hp and 170 hp stayed in the range until August 2020.
Catalogue rows with a 1.8 or 2.4 petrol engine, a 1.4 turbo at 150 hp or a 2.0 MultiJet at 120 hp do not belong to the European range. A 1.6 MultiJet at 130 hp was offered from January 2021 to March 2022; after that the Renegade has no diesel. Trailhawk describes the trim, not the engine.
Jeep Renegade remap: common questions
What does the GAN GT add to a Renegade 2.0 MultiJet 170?
The GAN GT lifts the 2.0 MultiJet 170 from 170 hp and 350 Nm to 218 hp and 447 Nm. The GAN GT is rated at up to 30% more power, and the 1.6 E.torQ on the GAN GA+ at up to 12%. Those are the stated gains for the engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Is my Renegade 1.4 MultiAir the 140 hp or the 170 hp?
Go by the output on your documents; the 170 hp version is the one with four-wheel drive and an automatic. Both rows take the GAN GT.
Is there a tuning box for the Renegade 1.0 T3?
Yes: the 1.0 FireFly T3 at 120 hp and 190 Nm takes the GAN GT.
Is there a GAN box for the Renegade 4xe or e-Hybrid?
Neither the 4xe plug-in hybrid, from July 2020, nor the 1.5 e-Hybrid, from March 2022, is in the catalogue.
Will my insurer need to know about the tuning box?
Yes, declare it. British insurers treat extra power as a modification, so the safe course is to tell them before you fit the box. How they treat it varies from one insurer to another, so ask before you fit the box; the standard and tuned figures you will be asked for are in the table on this page.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
