Chiptuning Lada
Up to 30% more power for your Lada
Our Lada catalog covers 42 engines (models: 8, generations: 9). All Lada engines in the catalog are naturally aspirated, so they take the GAN GA and GAN GA+ tuning boxes (up to 12% more power). Each engine’s figures are on its own page.
Lada plug-in remap: no changes to the ECU software
More power and torque without rewriting the ECU or replacing any parts. The tuning box only adjusts the engine sensor signals. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

Lada remapping: questions
Lada Niva remap: what does a GAN GA+ give the 1.7?
With the GAN GA+ the 1.7 goes from 83 hp and 129 Nm to 93 hp and 144 Nm. These are the stated gains for the engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Is the 98 hp engine of the Kalina and Priora the same as the Granta's, and what does it add?
It is: Kalina, Priora and Granta all carry the 1.6 16V with 98 hp and 145 Nm, and the catalogue gives the three of them the same result, 110 hp and 162 Nm.
Lada engines: what is the difference between a tuning box and a remap?
Remapping writes new software into the control unit; a tuning box only adjusts the sensor signals. With the GAN box the factory software on a Lada stays untouched, and the box comes off in about a minute.
Which Lada models are not covered here?
Neither the Largus nor the Iskra was sold in Western Europe, and the XRAY has no European range, so the catalogue figures for them are not European.
Does a GAN tuning box affect my car insurance?
Yes, declare it. British insurers treat extra power as a modification, so the safe course is to tell them before you fit the box. How they treat it varies from one insurer to another, so ask before you fit the box; the standard and tuned figures you will be asked for are on your engine's page.
Will a tuning box affect my Lada warranty?
Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the module can be removed at any time.
Tuning box or remap: which should I choose?
A flash remap permanently rewrites the maps in the ECU and leaves a trace in the flash counter. The GAN tuning box adjusts the sensor signals instead: the ECU stays in factory condition, and you can return the car to stock in about a minute. A flash remap can be the better choice if the engine has upgraded hardware, or if the car is out of warranty and you accept the risks.
Lada chip tuning: what to know about the engines
Lada remap or tuning box? The brand left Europe in 2019
Lada suspended official exports to the EU on 1 June 2019 and sold off the remaining stock by the end of August. Lada Deutschland continued to import the Niva as a grey import, stopping only at the end of 2025. That makes a Lada remap or tuning box a used-car matter: Niva, Granta, Vesta, Kalina and Priora models built between 2008 and 2019, for the most part. In Britain official Lada sales ended in 1997 with the Niva, and only limited independent Niva imports followed, from 2010.
British material calls the Niva the Lada Niva or Lada 4x4, and the other models would be grey imports with no UK model-year or trim range. The Niva is sold under several names: Taiga in Germany and Austria, Job in Italy and Cossack in Britain. Western Europe was selling the Samara from 1986, while in Finland the Kalina was the Lada 119. Kalina means rattling in Finnish, which is why the name was changed.
The Niva and its 1.7-litre engine
The classic European Niva, also called the Lada 4x4, is powered by a 1.7-litre petrol engine (83 hp, 129 Nm) with a five-speed gearbox and permanent four-wheel drive. In Britain it is the permanent four-wheel drive and centre differential lock that Niva buyers value, for farm and off-road use rather than road performance. Official UK sales ended in 1997, so British cars are often older ones or imports.
Dutch buyers know it as the Lada Niva or Taiga. Germany had Euro 5 versions until the end of the 2010s. The catalogue pairs the Niva with the GAN GA+, which is rated at up to 12% more power.

Granta, Kalina, Priora and Vesta: what the box adds
The Granta reached Germany in 2013 as a saloon and a liftback, with a 1.6 8V (87 hp, 140 Nm) or a 1.6 16V (98 hp, 145 Nm). Other buyers were in France, Czechia, Slovakia, Austria and Hungary. The GAN GA+ lifts the 87 hp engine to 97 hp and the 98 hp engine to 110 hp. The first Kalina (2004–2013) offered three engines: a 1.4 16V of about 90 hp, a 1.6 8V of 81 hp and a 1.6 16V of 98 hp. That takes the 81 hp 1.6 8V to 91 hp and the 98 hp 1.6 16V to 110 hp.
Advertising for the second Kalina (2013–2018) in Germany began in September 2014. Germany had the Priora until July 2014 with a single engine, the 1.6 16V with 98 hp, with LPG as an option. AvtoVAZ took the Priora saloon off the European market in 2011. Germany and Austria received the Vesta in February 2017, and it stayed until the end of 2019, with estate versions following in the second quarter of 2018. Europe got only the naturally aspirated 1.6 16V with 106 hp, which the catalogue takes to 119 hp and 166 Nm.
Which Lada models are in the catalog
The catalog covers 8 models from Lada. The most engines are listed for the Kalina (8), 4X4 (6) and Granta (6). The biggest gain among the models is on the Vesta: up to +17 hp.
Naturally aspirated Lada engines
For 42 naturally aspirated engines from Lada, there is the GAN GA+: up to 12% more power and up to 15% lower fuel consumption in ECO mode, which means better MPG. You can fit it yourself, in most cases in under 15 minutes.
How to find your Lada engine
Pick your model from the list above, then the generation by model year and chassis code, then the engine by the power output in your registration document. The engine page shows the exact gain and the price of the box.
