Each engine has its own tuning box: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per box and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.

Porsche Panamera remap: what changes
The GAN box plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals, while a flash remap rewrites the ECU itself. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

What makes the Porsche Panamera special
Porsche Panamera remap: the 4.8 twin-turbo V8 first
From 2009 to 2013 the Panamera Turbo's 4.8-litre twin-turbo V8 is rated at 500 hp and 700 Nm; from July 2013 it makes 519 hp. The same engine in the Turbo S gives 551 hp and 750 Nm, and 570 hp once the facelift arrived. For a Panamera Turbo remap, the GAN GT tuning box covers each of these outputs: 500, 519, 551 and 570 hp. Tuned with the GAN GT, a 519 hp Turbo is listed at 614 hp and 845 Nm. Treat those as stated figures for the engine type; they are not a dyno measurement of your car.
Porsche has sold the Panamera in Britain since 2009. The first generation, the 970, which ran from 2009 to 2016, is the one in the catalogue. The second generation, the 971, is not covered. UK listings use the badges Panamera, S, 4S, GTS, Turbo, Turbo S, Diesel and S Hybrid, so match your badge to the engine rows below.
Panamera S, 4S and GTS: the naturally aspirated V8 and V6
Until June 2013 the S and 4S used a naturally aspirated 4.8 V8 with 400 hp and 500 Nm. The Porsche Panamera GTS takes that 4.8 V8 further, to 430 hp and 520 Nm and then to 440 hp after the facelift. The 3.6 V6 is naturally aspirated as well, with 300 hp, or 310 hp from July 2013.
British listings give the 3.6 V6 as 300 hp and 400 Nm, which matches the catalogue row. From July 2013 the S and 4S changed to a twin-turbo 3.0 V6 with 420 hp. That 3.0 V6 twin-turbo has no row in the catalogue.
Diesel and hybrid Panameras
The 3.0 V6 TDI in the Panamera Diesel makes 250 hp and 550 Nm from mid-2011, then 300 hp and 650 Nm from January 2014. So the year of your car tells you which of the two diesels it has. German registrations of the 970 between 2011 and 2017 were between 25% and 47% diesel.
Both the S Hybrid and the plug-in S E-Hybrid are included. Note that 333 hp is the combustion engine alone (380 hp for the full system), and that the E-Hybrid's 416 hp is a system figure.
Porsche Panamera remap: common questions
Does the GAN GT cover the Panamera Turbo at 500, 519, 551 and 570 hp?
Yes: the Turbo is 500 hp until June 2013 and 519 hp afterwards, and the Turbo S is 551 hp until 2013 and 570 hp afterwards. For turbo engines the GAN GT range is rated at up to 30% more power, and it fits every output listed above.
Is my Panamera Diesel the 250 hp or the 300 hp car?
The year settles it: 250 hp from 2011 to 2013, 300 hp from January 2014. The GAN GT covers both.
What does the GAN GA+ offer the naturally aspirated Panamera S, 4S, GTS and 3.6?
The GAN GA+ is rated at up to 12% more power and suits both the 4.8 V8 (400, 430 and 440 hp) and the 3.6 V6 (300 and 310 hp). The GAN GA+ is additionally rated at up to 15% lower fuel consumption on these engines when you drive economically.
Is a tuning box different from an ECU remap on a Panamera?
Because the ECU software is never changed and the box can be taken off at any time, your manufacturer's warranty is preserved. Where a flash remap rewrites the factory software, the GAN box sits between the engine sensors and the ECU and adjusts their signals. It comes off in about a minute, leaving no electronic or mechanical traces.
Does a GAN tuning box affect my car insurance?
Yes, declare it. British insurers treat extra power as a modification, so the safe course is to tell them before you fit the box. How they treat it varies from one insurer to another, so ask before you fit the box; the standard and tuned figures you will be asked for are in the table on this page.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
