Each engine has its own tuning box: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per box and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.
Same badge, different factory power outputs in this generation:

More power and torque without rewriting the ECU or replacing any parts. Unlike a flash remap, the tuning box leaves the ECU software alone and only adjusts the engine sensor signals.

Fiat Ducato chip tuning: engines and generations
Fiat Ducato remap: a motorhome base with many Multijets
Much of the interest in Ducato tuning comes from motorhomes, because the Ducato underpins between two thirds and about 70% of those built in Europe. It is sold as the Fiat Professional Ducato and is still in the range; generations go by codes such as X250 and X290, not Mk numbers. The Ducato in the catalogue is a mix of the Typ 230, the Typ 244 and the Typ 250 rather than a single generation. Names and outputs do not match: the 150 Multijet makes 148 hp, and the 160 Multijet between 157 and 159 hp.
Between 2010 and 2014 the Typ 250 carried two different diesels at the same 130 and 150 hp ratings. One was the 2.3 Multijet from Sofim and Iveco; the other was the 2.2 HDi, built by Ford and PSA. The 2.3 Multijet was a mainstream engine in UK Ducatos. They differ in capacity, at 2,287 and 2,198 cc, and in engine code, so check both before you order.
The newer engines
The Typ 250 appeared in June 2006 and was facelifted in 2011, May 2014, autumn 2016, 2020 and 2021. A new 2.0 from Fiat, the 115 Multijet with 115 hp, arrived with the 2011 facelift. Four outputs of 120, 140, 160 and 180 hp came with the 2.3 Multijet2 of the 2019 and 2020 facelift, fitted with SCR and AdBlue. In 2021 the 2.2 Multijet3 with 140 and 160 hp took over. It is a different engine, so nothing carries over from the 2.3.
The Multijet4, at 120, 140 and 180 hp, arrived with the autumn 2023 facelift. The e-Ducato, the electric version, is a separate line. The newer engines go by several names, Multijet3, Multijet4, 2.2 Multijet or 140 Multijet3, and Ducato Multijet tuning uses the same labels.
Fiat Ducato remapping: questions
Is your Ducato the 2.3 or the 2.2 Multijet?
The 2.3 is 2,287 cc and comes from Sofim and Iveco. The 2.2 HDi is 2,198 cc and comes from Ford and PSA, so check the displacement and the engine code. Both were sold with the same 130 and 150 hp ratings, but they are different engines with separate rows.
Ducato 150 Multijet remap: what does the GAN GT add?
The 150 Multijet starts from 148 hp and 350 Nm, and the catalogue shows 174 hp and 445 Nm with the GAN GT. The gain is measured from the real output, not from the 150 in the name. Treat these as catalogue gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your own van.
Ducato remap or software update: how is a tuning box different?
A software update on a Ducato normally means a change to the factory software. Unlike a flash remap, which rewrites that software, the GAN tuning box sits between the engine sensors and the ECU and adjusts their signals. The GAN box leaves the factory software, the checksums and the flash counter as they were, and the engine's factory protections stay active. The ECU software is never changed and the box can come off at any time, so your manufacturer's warranty is preserved.
Should I declare the GAN box to my insurer?
Yes, declare it. British insurers treat extra power as a modification, so the safe course is to tell them before you fit the box. How they treat it varies from one insurer to another, so ask before you fit the box; the standard and tuned figures you will be asked for are in the table on this page.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
