Each engine has its own tuning box: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per box and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.

Honda Accord VIII remap: what changes
The GAN box plugs in between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals, while a flash remap rewrites the ECU itself. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the box can be removed at any time.

What makes the Honda Accord VIII special
Honda Accord Mk8 remap: the sporty version is a diesel
The Accord VIII's largest catalogue gain is a diesel's: 51 hp, not a petrol figure. The Type S, on the CU saloon and CW Tourer, has the 2.2 i-DTEC N22B2 at 180 hp and 380 Nm, while the base engine makes 150 hp and 350 Nm. The catalogue lists the Type S at 179 hp, and the GAN GT adds 51 hp and 101 Nm to it. The standard diesel takes the GAN GT as well and gains 43 hp and 95 Nm.
In Britain the car is the Mk8 Accord in Saloon or Tourer form, and the badge to look for is the 2.2 i-DTEC, with Type S as the stronger diesel. Both diesels carried on after the 2011 facelift, and European production of the Accord ended in 2015. The first cars, built from May 2008, are covered too.
The Accord VIII petrols
The petrols are the 2.0 i-VTEC with 155 hp and 190 Nm and the 2.4 i-VTEC, which makes 201 hp and 230 Nm with the manual gearbox. Both are naturally aspirated, which makes them GAN GA+ engines. On a petrol Accord the gain is therefore much smaller than on the Type S diesel.
UK reviewers also keep the two families apart: the 2.0 and 2.4 i-VTEC are naturally aspirated, the 2.2 i-DTEC turbocharged. The Tourer estate has had the same engines throughout.
Honda Accord VIII remap: common questions
Accord 2.2 i-DTEC Type S remap: how much more power does the 180 hp engine get?
The catalogue gives the Type S 179 hp and 380 Nm, rising to 230 hp and 481 Nm with the GAN GT. Read these as the stated figures for the engine type, not as a dyno reading of your own car.
How much do the 2.0 and 2.4 i-VTEC Accord VIII gain from a tuning box?
The 2.0 i-VTEC gains 19 hp and 23 Nm, and the 201 hp 2.4 i-VTEC gains 24 hp and 28 Nm. The GAN GA+ is rated at up to 12% more power, and both gains sit at that level.
What should a 2.2 i-DTEC have checked before a tuning box goes on?
Look at the diesel particulate filter (DPF) first, as short trips clog it, then at the flexible EGR bypass hose, which can crack. The box adds power and does neither of those jobs, so a clogged filter or a cracked hose still needs a garage.
Does a GAN tuning box affect my car insurance?
Tell them. A tuning box raises the output, and in Britain that is a declarable modification like any other performance change. Policies differ, so a quick call to your insurer before fitting is the safe route; the figures they will ask for are the stock and GAN outputs listed here.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 remap?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
